Impetvs Parthian Cataphracts

Finished off three more, 15mm Essex Miniatures, Cataphract (8cm x 6cm bases) Units for my Impetvs Army. I painted the figures, more of a historical flavor color, red "leather bound" Caparisons (cloth covering over the horses) theme. I am pleased how my Cataphracts turned out :oP ....anyway... One more CL (Horse Archers) unit to work on, before completing the army.

  2. Very impressive. The Impetus basing really shows them off, too. Lovely stuff!

    1. Thanks Dean for your kind words!... must admit though at one stage I thought the cavalry bases are to deep (6cm) but having said that ;o) the deep bases are great for placing more terrain/flocking and create mini diorama's...

      cheers,

  4. Your Parthians continue to grow to impressive size and quality! Your tuft usage is excellent. Whose tufts are you using?

  5. Thanks Phil!
maybe I should have deployed the figures as two ranks instead as one rank on the bases, would have looked more impressive but costly to buy the extra Essex figures packs?
