A minor update....not much done today... I did some color "test" painting on some of the figures, a few pikemen and two artillery crew to give myself what to expect regarding to color decision making for the pikemen.
I leave for vacation and you start a whole new scale and era! I love your test work. If I could remake my painting style, I'd like it to be more impressionistic. That's what you've achieved right out of the box! Were you an art student, back in the day?
Your color selection on your test cases are fantastic and your artwork reminds me of Rembrandt!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jonathan, I'm happy what I did to the artillery crews regarding to color choices..
DeleteGood looking start!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pete, a good start for me but a long road to go to finish off these 28mm miniatures...

ReplyDeleteThanks Chris, :o)
DeleteThanks Oli, I the like the blue color scheme as well, I would love to have all of the Landsknechts as blue but it would inappropriate?.. :o)

ReplyDeleteThanks Christopher... I'm a little fatigued and slow painting the minis due to summer heat..still pushing forward though... cheers,

ReplyDeleteI knew it!
ReplyDeleteI was telling my wife that with us becoming empty nesters, I'd like to take an art class or two to "crack the code" on my miniature painting.
It was a very nice break away with hiking every day in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Do you really need art lessons? I don't think so, your a great artist/painter!
